The question of pricing

How to price web software is always a topic of much discussion.  The issue is always about “leaving money on the table” – in other words, how to maximize your per-customer revenue.

We hate that.

Our philosophy is that if you build something really good, a lot of people will want it.  And if you charge a really reasonable price, most of those people will pay for it.  And that should work out for everyone.  So when we sat down to decide how to price SiteBoss – the best construction software on the web – we went with that philosophy.  And that’s how we came up with flat rate pricing.

$99 per month.

That’s for everything.  For all of the features you see on the website, it’s one price.  We’re never going to raise it on you if you start paying it, and we’ll keep fixing bugs and adding other cool features too.  Call us crazy, but we see it as our responsibility to make you WANT our software.  Finding a way to trick you into signing a long term contract, or quietly make you pay more over time is just wrong.  So we’re not going to do that.

So please – enjoy the free trial, and give us all the feedback you can, so we can make it better for you.  Win-win, we say.
