2.0 update: Work Order Software!

With the imminent launch of our construction management software, we’re polishing the last few pieces to make sure that they are user worthy.  We take this stuff seriously, and we don’t want anything out there that isn’t ready.  The work orders piece of the software is no exception.

The plan behind this part of the system was to allow contractors to have smaller non-project jobs easily tracked and accounted for right along side everything else.  In fact, we full expect many subcontractors to use this part of the system 95% of the time to handle their call in work.  Maybe your glass company does several big projects a year, but our bet is that you do a MUCH larger number of broken windows and shower door replacements day in and day out.

So what does good work order software look like?  Glad you asked:

  • Fast entry of basic job details:  Customer data, location, date and time scheduled, assigned person to the order, estimated cost, and a description.
  • Allow for the attachment of documents to the work order (like everything in SiteBoss)
  • Easily see all work orders on the calendar for any period, and for an single or group of employees
  • When closing the work order, automatically generate the right transactions in the financial system

The focus here was speed.  When the phones are ringing off the hook with new or returning customers, it’s no time for your work order software to lag.  We built the interface so that key entry is easy, and looking up and rescheduling are snap.

When can you see it?  How about Monday morning?  That’s right – we’re launching on July 1!  That means all of the features of what we humbly call the most awesome construction software in the universe will be available for you to try for free.  No credit card, no commitment up front.  Just try it out for a while.  Yeah – we know that July 1 is Sunday.  But you should look at it on July 2.  It will make your Monday SOOOOO much better.
